You’re going to be glad you found this article – it’s going to save you a lot of time typing.
Tip #1 – Want to type a punctuation mark like or a number without having to press 3 or 4 keys to do it?
You can actually enter a punctuation mark like ?, or !, or even a number with one button press and drag!
1 click .?123
2 drag to the punctuation mark or number
Now the punctuation mark or number is added and you are already back to the letters screen – no extra clicks!
Once you try it a couple times you’ll find it can save you a lot of time typing instead of going back and forth between different types of keyboards.
Tip #2 Don’t ever type an apostrophe (‘)
This is one that is really unknown and people would rarely find it on their own: Apple has built in a special time saving apostrophe feature.
Instead of wasting time getting to the keyboard with the apostrophe, instead just type the last letter twice.
For example:
Type weree instead of we’re and shelll instead of she’ll –
Try it yourself. This trick lets the iPhone know to automatically add the apostrophe and drop that extra last letter. – saving you a lot of time throughout the day.
Tip #3 Don’t ever type a period
Yep that’s right, typing a period is a waste of time. That’s because if you know how to do it right you’ll never need to. When you are done with a sentence simply press the space bar twice and a period will be put in place for you.
Tip #4 Add Symbols like $, @, .net, .org, quicker
Instead of going to the symbols keyboard to type $ or @ simply hold down the S letter or A letter and it will pop up with symbols that look like that letter.
Drag your finger to the symbol you want and your done and still on the letters keyboard
You can also use this principal when typing in a web address by holding down the .com button to reveal .net, .org, .edu, and .us
